Happy New Year - champagne, grapes and party decoration

Happy New Year

It's time again for the New Years resolutions to begin. Our silly traditions here in the good ol' US of A! It's that special time of year where we all take a moment or two to reflect back on the year's past events and we also begin to embrace our hopes and plans for the upcoming year.

In the United States, people begin to celebrate the New Year on December 31st, New Year’s Eve. Families and friends gather to share a meal and “ring in” the New Year, often with a toast and a song. Americans also enjoy the tradition of watching the New Year’s festivities at Times Square (New York City) which are broadcast on TV. New Year’s Day (January 1st) is a national holiday in the United States.

Seriously though there are traditions that just don't need to continue any longer. We all know that New Years Eve is a day fueled with crazy levels of alcohol and dangerous activities. We don't support any dangerous activities here we want you our viewers to have a safe, and enjoyable holiday celebration.

1. Getting really really drunk. 2. Resolutions. Does anyone ever actually keep them? 3. Polar Bear clubs, like the one here in Sheboygan that will jump into Lake Michigan for a dip when the wind chill is going to be -5 or lower.
